Canberra is the only with any decent shot at frost and snow.

Does Hobart ever get snow? It's the furthest south but the ocean may play a role in making it less likely.

Hobart doesn't get snow very often, but it seems to happen pretty often on Mt. Wellington in the middle of Tasmania. So at least it's relatively close to snow I suppose...

It actually got some two weeks ago, the first time in 30 years. So it's very rare but it can happen.

Brisbane. Its like where i live, but a bit drier overall, cooler in the summer, and no annoying cold fronts in the winter.

a win-win

also i reckon it has the best chance for t-storms compared to the other options

I looked it up and saw that it indeed snowed on August 3, 2015. Did any stick?

Does Canberra, ACT have snowplows?

They most likely don't, because if it snowed I doubt that more than 2-3 cm would fall and stick.

In hobart, some of the suburbs at a higher elevation (200m) the snow stuck around for the day.

Darwin. Abundant sunshine 10 months of the year. Abundant thunderstorms and great monsoon when it gets going. Always nice and warm, have had to get the jumper out this dry season only about 5 times. Rainfall more reliable than FNQ.

Why I left out some: Adelaide is kinda similar to Perth. Melbourne is a cooler Sydney and it has a backlash here for some reason. And Darwin, not many tropical lovers here.
I have to go with Canberra or Hobart. The other ones are too hot and have no winter.

Canberra isn't bad because it's the closest to a Contanental Climate.

Hm... Sydney! Perfect warmth level in summer (less heatwaves would be great)
(Bar DST of course )
