Look how far south that Jet Stream is! I think it will be like 2 weeks with below normal temps in Western U.S.
We've been mostly above normal at 69.3/50.5 so far and more 70s and 80s coming up. I will be in San Diego this weekend where it will barely reach 66... My sister was in Vegas last weekend and she said it felt freezing cold because of the wind LOL.
As of this morning, NWS finally sees an end in sight to this pattern for us, are saying by next Friday we should finally be back to average (which by then will be 100°F/75°F)

You're lows are the reason. I see 5 of the last 8 days the max in Seattle has been below normal there. Were you aware of that? Nothing crazy at all but it's been below normal in the daytime.
meanwhile Vegas... Last 6 days below normal for both Max and Min and 10-15 below normal to boot! I think another week for them .

Wow! Another 9 days. I haven't checked the latest. Thanks
Tomorrow... Continued trough with Upper Low over Nevada, Arizona, Utah. Cold continues and higher elevation snows.
PacNW not under the coldest part of the trough.
Monday after this weekend... IT CONTINUES. Trough still digging down in Western U.S. Another Upper Low over Southern California and Nevada!
These 27,000 foot Vortexs carry very cold air with them and so the surface should be as well.
Note the PacNW still not where the coldest part of the trough is but they aren't heating up either.
Friday next week... Euro says what break??? Still 9 days away but it says there is a cut off low off the California coast. That will keep any hot weather in check in the SouthWest. Not as cold so break is coming next week but no heat surges.
I have no idea what that is in Canada either. It's squashing the SouthEast ridge though.

This afternoons temp departures on left, temps on right. W.O.W. Gotta be some record low max broken? Positive tilted trough California to Nebraska. Vegas is in the 50s this afternoon. Normal is 80s

It was 57°F in Las Vegas at 6am this morning, so it's basically back to where they were this morning
