Would be awesome if BBC would start to buy their weather info from the FMI. "And now let's go to the UK weather, provided by the Finnish Meteorological Institute".

I find that foreign met organisations always understate temperature forecasts for the UK. At the start of July when it got to 36.7c, weather online and BBC were forecasting 36-37c, while weather.com and accuweather were joking around with 32-33c.

The FMI uses a different computer forecasting model than the MetOffice. That might be one reason too. The MetOffice obviously UKMO while FMI uses HARMONIE.
