Some people on here, when they post climate polls, have actual weather boxes like the ones on Wikipedia.

There are also some posts about their own fictional dream climates, with a "made-up" weather box of temperatures that sometimes wouldn't exist in most cities. How do you do that? I'm new to this place.

I offer a service. The first climate box is $10 and each one following that costs $15. It's non-refundable, unfortunately. If everyone rates your climate an F, I will provide no refunds.

I just go to "edit" on the Wikipedia's climate section on the article (which has the box), remove the figures there and add my own made-up ones.

That's a bad deal. I offer a $5 flat rate. If you get at least 6 A's I'll give you your money back.

You'd have a hard time keeping your money. Even my dream climate got three A's, back when I first made it.

I signed up for a Wikipedia account and then copied and pasted real weather boxes there. Then I changed the numbers in the sandbox. That way I can save them for future reference.

This. Just hit preview and take screenshots of the edited boxes.

I wouldn't edit a weather box on an actual page & it is possible you may mess it up in error...

Just do as someone else said, make a Wiki account & either copy a weather box to your sandbox or go to the Wiki weather templates page & copy from there. That way you can keep you weather box & don't have to keep editing one for somewhere else...

If you accidentally edit the page, you can always undo it.

But if you do a monthly weather box it will save much more time to have your own sandbox, otherwise you are having to edit a random box with all the figures every single month... you can multiple weather boxes in your sandbox too.
