Ah, I can see why you think 20°C is freezing now. The Pilbara has ridiculous heat and humidity.

As for our cold tolerance, that's true for about half of us. The other half just constantly complain.[/quote]

Yep, but Melbourne gets its heat too. Yeah, luckily it's gonna cool down for exams; even though it won't make much of a difference it's better than nothing, better to have 19-22˚C than 33˚C in exams, that's one of the only times i prefer cooler weather, when mental...ness is required

Nothing worse than hot weather whilst doing exams. Luckily during my VCE we had a cold spell and at uni we do our exams in the Royal Exhibition Building where it is subarctic.

Well, we had a cold wave this last couple of days. First, it produced snow in Cuyo and western Patagonia. Then, it went to east patagonia yesterday. Some photos:

They've already surpassed 3 mts (120 inches) of accumulation this season, so this will end as the snowiest winter there since 1995, wich recorded around 150 inches

The past few days were heavenly (12 to 16 Sep) - 21°C to 30°C (!) highs, 11°C to 16°C lows.

I even had a swim on Tuesday SST about 20°C, high of 30°C*. I'm usually a sissy when it comes to water temp but considering I just got to Australia and I wanted to take up the challenge of swimming before the spring equinox, I manned up

*Sydney is definitely an extremely cold city in winter, those icy westerlies are unbearable. I miss Paris' winters.

I know, those bloody sunny 20c+ westerlies are flat out frostbite inducing. Idiocy, I wonder what Melbourne's 12C overcast drizzly southwesterly gales are then

We had some 28-33C days here in the Riverland South Australia over the weekend complete with some storms, you would've loved it on the river

Literally death. 50 people died the other weekend when the winds got a bit too strong

Nice! What is the closest weather station to you? Curious about your averages.
