whats the point of it being warm if there is no sun to enjoy the warmth?
no rain = crappy vegetation
honestly i think its a no-contest comparison
its basically: compare this climate that everyone knows isn't that good with a climate no one knows is actually pretty terrible
You can still go swimming at the beach even if it's cloudy more easily at Lima's temperatures than you could at Dublin's temperatures. The sea would also be warmer so would be more enjoyable in the water. Surf is much better too as it faces the open Pacific.

I hate that cloudy, rainy, cool climate of Dublin and the climate of Lima is very pleasant just a bit irritating with the cloudy weather so often. I work in southern Peru and flew through Lima last night and it was still quite comfortable even in the cloudy winter here. The downside to the Lima climate is that everything is so brown versus the beautiful green of Dublin.
Lima averages 2% of Dublin's rainfall, and yet is still cloudier. How pathetic!
Beyond pathetic

It is bad, but it's not that bad

I agree

I wouldn't say winters in Lima are mild or warm.
Actually it feels rather cold despite being 15 or 16 for example, due to very high humidity.
But I get your point, Lima is a desert, so... it's ugly.

Actually nobody goes swimming at the beach in winter because sea is too cold

Surfers enjoy Lima a lot, even in winter
As for me, Lima is a C/C- climate (for the lack of rainfall and horrible cloudy winter) while Dublin is D for not being warm enough in summer.
Dublin wins. Never thought I'd say that in a climate battle, but Lima's cloudy season is just horrible. Goes on for so long as well. Yes Lima has nice summers, but you'd spend them dreading the forthcoming 6 months of cloud.
