We have picked up 2.99" today. This puts me over the 7" mark for rainfall since last Thursday. Most of the rain is forecast to shift south of us tomorrow and then back over us for Sunday and Monday. They are calling for an additional 3 to 5" from that. Lots of low lying flooding going on here and I suppose it will get worse if Sunday and Monday's forecast pans out.

i bet you it doesnt feel too tropical outside. Last time we had an Upper low over the U.S interact with a hurricane was....yup... Sandy. Had this been 1 month from now we would of saw snow somewhere in the Southeast high elevations.

But a cool connection to the Hurricane tonight

Good link to keep tabs on rivers. Just to pick one right now Roanoke River above flood stage and causing minor flooding near it. http://water.weather.gov/ahps/

The 2 in Major Flood Stage is actually in Minnesota.

That Upper Low in the South is kicking the Hurricane out. You can literally see this now as the Hurricane now has a more NE move.. Weather Features Timing. Timing. Timing.

Rainfall total past 10 days per radar. Still now done for SC.. Heaviest rain total off the NC coast
