Why do TV meteorologists glorify hot weather so much? (warm, average, day)

Just saw the local news here in Tallahassee talking about the 7 day forecast, long story short the forecast was showing highs between 91-94 all week long and lows in the 70s, and the meteorologist on TV was describing it as "pleasant weather to be outside all week" , really? Because 93 with a heat index probably in the 100-105 range is SUCH pleasant weather right? These are the same people that when it's 50 degrees they say it's too cold

I don't know, but non-latino people are strange like that I don't think I've EVER heard a latino person say 93 degrees is nice and pleasant. 80 degrees yes, but over 90?

Lol my latino brotha , haha but you're right. But even most of the Anglo people I've talked to here in Tally would NOT describe the summer weather here as pleasant. Good for water sports? Of course. Pleasant to be walking around or running or playing sports? Hell no. And these are the same people that as soon as it drops below 60 "better throw on a jacket, it's gonna be unpleasantly brisk out there!"

I would even say 80 degrees is a bit too warm to be completely comfortable, 60s/70s is more like it

They might have been, but regardless of that 94 F and sunny is not exactly "pleasant weather to be outside". Maybe to go to the pool, but to be outside going for a walk, run, a picnic, or running errands? No. I'd take a 84 F day that's cloudy with a 50% chance of rain to be outside doing things any day over a 94 F sunny day with the sun beaming down on you and getting sunburnt walking outside for 30 minutes (happened to me earlier this week, as a matter of fact)
^^ I've noticed that. It could be 112 F outside but if it's sunny it's "nice" I swear if it were up to some meteorologists it would be 90-120 F year around with 4,400 hours of sun
It goes both ways here. With the heat wave this week they're basically saying "Stay indoors or you're going to die." Then when we get anything below freezing its described as frigid.

Lol that's true...I remember when I lived in Atlanta and it would be a night that'll be in the 20s they would act like the Great Cold Wave of 1899 was happening. And me was a 14-year old was sitting there thinking "what's the big deal?, this is only like 5 degrees below average" but they would act like a 65 degree January day was normal... And yes, in the rural areas north of ATL nights in the 20s are normal in winter, in fact average low was 28 F in January where I used to live, 20s were nothing special.
If the weather here is warm and sunny, weather presenters will say 'the weather will be great', but when it starts getting warm at night, they will start saying 'uncomfortable for sleeping', and when it gets beyond 30C, they will say 'too hot for some'. I think they are unbiased in their views mostly, although you can kind of tell which weather they prefer. Some presenters get really enthusiastic with big smiles on their faces if their is a cold spell coming, especially this guy.
