It was about non-western music, and it's social, cultural and political power.

What's wrong with people wanting cold and snow?
It's only November so I'm not whining yet, but if it were January or February and 70, I'd be whining because I prefer the feeling of cold then.

Fair enough, but the way people are going on about it makes it seem like they are being shoved into a furnace and being burned alive. I can understand the preference for cold, but some of these reactions are totally ridiculous. 70 F will not kill you; there are more important issues than mild weather.

The Social Democrats (in opposition) have stated that they will not go into the government without a re-election.
All parties chickened out, and after a sleepless night they found an agreement. The government will live another day and this will probably lead to an increasing federalisation of Finland. The people are furious, the politicians smiling.

So far this month is running more than 2C below average both here and in Melbourne. This Povember is officially ****. Feral in Melbourne, a few 16C days (including today). A short warm spell will be followed by another polar outbreak and temps in the high teens. Disgusting.
