Springfield to NYC isn't really that much slower than I said — between 3hr9min to 3hr25min for 140 miles but it's a bit far from me and the ticket price can be a bit steep. Northampton (closer to me) to NYC is scheduled for 5 hours for the additional 20 extra miles from Springfield. And the cheapest ticket is $61.

I enjoy driving, even by myself. The drive on my own from Paris to here was a breeze, even if a tad boring. Better be alone than have a whiner on the passenger seat.
Yikes. A 600 mile drive by yourself so awful. I've wanted to drive to northern Maine to do this but didn't seem worth the 7+ hour drive. Depends on my mood, sometimes I enjoy drives by myself, good for contemplating. Other times get very bored. That NYC drive was worse than usual because of the constant congestion; it's usually congested but that was especially bad.

600 miles is awful? Try doing it for a 1000...lol. I've never driven that far straight through on my own though - I'll break that up by overnighting somewhere, like I did on my return from Syracuse.

Yeah it should be a good game. LSU hasn't beat Alabama since 2011, but hopefully that changes tonight.
