A rogue thunderstorm has just popped up just over the Vic border in the same place where they were stewing for hours yesterday while we got nothing. Gay.

Found a website that checks climate similarities. Unfortunately it only does comparisons between cities in the same side of the equator except up to 5 degrees from the equator from the looks of it. The 2 closest places outside of North America are Wake Island (100%) and some small town in the southeast Philippines (about 99.9% similar). This only accounts for temperatures, though. Major city wise, Singapore and Jakarta are the closest (99%).
Where I live now the most similar places outside of the US are some small towns in northwestern Iran. Runner up is Bucharest, Romania.

I've just simply been Melbournised with one of the most epic fizzers in history. Could happen anywhere.
I can see several beast storm cells from here, they are 100-120km away according to the radar.

This is actually one of the sunnier climates in the country and gets some awesome bursts of heat. I do amatuer astronomy and as far as clear skies go, here it's hard to beat. Queensland gets a lot more rain and cloud. I've here several times in the past so know the area aswell. Just need a ****ing job already while I do my studies....
I forgot you do astronomy. I was thinking you wanted the most heat and thunderstorms as possible, so I thought to myself why didn't you move as close to Cairns or Darwin as possible
That might be it. The metal from a shed is a heat factory. Is it possible to mount it on a pole? If so, mount it about 1.6-1.8m above ground, grass if possible. Official thermometers are apparently about that height above ground over grass where possible.

His temps are a load of **** yet he still posts them when he MUST know that they are a load of **** and contribute nothing because of the fact. Plus he always hyper exaggerates the bushfire threat. Yup it had to happen. An approaching cell died right in its MUTHA****ING ASS while storms just to the south, west and north are ofcourse exploding. The radar is a ****en donut with me in the centre
