-4 F is certainly very cold, but managable IMO.

Winter in Kentucky is pretty awesome. We have seen both -20F and 80F in January & February.

Winter in San Francisco is pretty awesome. Seems like a great time for hoodies and sweaters. And San Diego winters seem amazing too

He actually lives between Magilligan & Limavady, no where near Castlederp, he used that weather station as it was so cold
