Well, maybe that was harsh. Most are probably fine, but many seem to partake in the brutality too, or at least condone it. I feel sorry for the ordinary people who want to escape.
The way they treat their women and executing 17 year-olds for expressing a political opinion, I'd love to see a big, fat asteroid fall on top of their butts. I'm gonna be rooting for that cyclone to do a number on them, too.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar and North Korea are my personal axis of evil.
Speaking of Qatar, is there any hope of nixing the World Cup in '22? I've heard that 1000's of people have died so far building those stadiums in that god-forsaken heat. :/
What's the percentage of students who end up going to university over in Europe? I've heard it's quite a bit lower than here in the US.
The school systems are a bit different in different countries, obviously.
For example the unversities here in Finland are places where you apply automatically for a masters degree. In your 3rd year you do your bachelor's, and then automatically go on to your master's in the 5th or 6th year.
Then we have an institution called "university of applied sciences", which is less prestigious and is the equivalent of the American college. There you graduate as a bachelor, but in 3.5 years.
17% of Finns have been at universities, and 9% have the master's degree, the rest are droputs or are working on it. 20% have the bachelor's degree.
For example police officers, regular engineers, nurses, BBA's and so on are bachelors from the universities for applied sciences, while teachers, 1st lieutenants, diploma engineers, physicians, university researchers and so forth are masters.

I have very little hope, but let's see what the next FIFA presidential election will bring.

I had a Saudi (in traditional dress) sit next to me on a cross-country flight one month before 9-11. He asked me a single question - "Are you American?" and when I replied "Yes," he gave me the nastiest look a person is capable of giving. He then sat stone-cold mute for the entire 4 1/2-hour flight. I'll never forget the desert smell on him, either.
Once 9-11 happened, I couldn't help but to wonder if he was on a "practice" run gearing up for the attack.
I agree that we should have invaded Saudi instead of Iraq - we should be owning that piece of land - lock, stock and barrel (excuse the pun.)
There is absolutely no reason the US cannot have had friendly relations with Iraq under Saddam, Syria under Assad, and Iran. It is simply Israeli policy (and thus US foreign policy via the Israeli lobby) to destabilize the Middle East for Israel's strategic interests. Meanwhile, Israeli atrocities against Palestinians continue.
**** Israel. Israel does the world no good whatsoever.
Russia would be okay if they stopped funding Russian separatists in Ukraine, stopped persecuting homosexuals, stopped sabre-rattling and intimidating former Soviet nations that want nothing to do with it. It's a huge nuisance. Russians appear very stupid, and backwards, for supporting their insane government and whatever it does, however bad.
Israel is a terrible country too.
Israel, Russia, Saudi Arabia, North Korea - please disappear. Useless.
Russia would be OK if it would be hauled behind the Urals.
