Winter has the highest standard deviation of all even in your climate. We only have one stable season barely. Summer, and not nearly as stable as the Med in summer.

^^ more stable than here in summer though, or at least I think it is given our record highs deviate more from our average in summer (though Chicago's record high of 43C is quite a bit higher than its average July high of 29C!).

Daily deviations are high even in the summer where we can have 25F swings in temps. However taking MDW data it's highest average max in July was 33.4C (2012). It's lowest average max was 26.0C (2009). So the monthly average high deviates 3-4C at most in the summer (though outlying areas of Chicago during the Dust Bowl era had average highs of 38C in July 1936).. In the winter it's much higher, but the highest deviation happened in the spring. March 2012 had an average high of 17.3C. Normal high is 8.7C.

Yes it does, but the standard deviations in the winter hwre usually are cold to very cold. Lol... but yeah, it's drier in the winter so deviations are high.

Winter doesnt go from 84 degree one day to the 40's and even snow showers (near the lake) 12 hours later like what happened here last week.

Or better yet, a 23F drop in 10 minutes lol

Looks like we have a chance of our warmest May since 2008. It has a long way to go to match 1989 or 1992 though.

It's interesting that you'll see your first temperature high above 20C around the same time that I'll likely see my last low temperature below 20C.

Forecast for here:

Dude, no offense but that forecast is clearly not from KB. Do you forget that there's another Miami poster on here?

That's for MIA. NWS's forecast for KB is nonsense, which I've proved multiple times.

Have you looked at my monthly summaries?
