I would say Wellington because the temperature is very comfortable all year round and it's never hot there. (The all time record is 86F and 30C) Istanbul has the possibility of some very high temperatures.
Wearing a jumper and jacket nearly all year around hardly constitutes "comfortable".
In the city. Outlying suburbs have recorded much lower readings than that.
The so-called "outlying suburbs" you would be citing have warmer days - though colder overall because of the nights - and they are not Wellington city - Hutt and Wainuiomata do not qualify.
Istanbul because Wellington has no Winter to speak of.[/
Funny because its almost permanently in one
There are plenty of Wellington residents who don't dress the way you imply - the fact that you have enough problems with Sydney's "icy" winter westerlies renders you unfit to comment at all. Many of those same residents would classify your string of posts as childish and obsessional - but I couldn't possibly comment. Stick to your Sydney issues - they seem to give you plenty of grief.
Only sad-sack characters have to cheer themselves up with their own climate's (alleged) shortcomings by attacking something else.
