I've read the last page. What was wrong with that? It was just a conversation about climates. No need to call people "trolls".

Alright, as promised, here are some tree updates I took this morning.

Most sweetgums have gone bare.

A few sweetgums still have their leaves.

Yn0hTnA is going to be gagging when he sees my woodland pics. Enjoy, Tom.

Keep in mind, this is only roughly 65 miles from the coast. I can make a trip to the beaches on Tybee in only an hour and 15 minutes from here by car.

Nice pics

My garden at home seems greener than a lot of mid latitude places in winter:

Well, that's where my favorite subtropical plants are most prevalent, but you dismiss them because they are not tender enough to brag about.

And the truth is, the Southeast US even only 10 to 20 miles inland looks no different in winter than central PA. That is truly bizarre imo.
Yeah, that is bizarre! Definitely not how I was expecting central PA to look.

Here are more from here I got today.

Live oak.

Palm trees haven't gone dormant yet.

I'd say most deciduous trees are pretty bare.

A gloomy and wet Fornebu, Norway yesterday. The snow is gone now. It is 7°C / 44°F at the moment.

Holy **** you're right:

Weather History for London, United Kingdom | Weather Underground

Weather History for Houston, TX | Weather Underground

That's incredible, especially considering those consecutive 71F lows in Houston...

The subtropical U.S. is just as subtropical as any other subtropical locale on this Earth, period. The nonsensical assertions need to cease....

Now...on topic, some wintry scenes from today in my neck of the woods.

Winter in the Pine Barrens:

Winter flowers:

Daisies still blooming, since Sept/Oct:
