And 5 hours before that tweet, this was posted. So which is it.. Did it drop back down or reverse and go back up? lol There's probably a reason for the differences. Maybe one graph is a weekly average?

It's been a warm June here thus far.. Above average. Will the back end of summer be hot?

La Nina onset later this summer might extend the warmth into September

Warmer than average spring, good start to summer as June will certainly be above average, and the outlook for winter looks very promising

Music to my eyes!! I will start a Winter thread next month or so just so we can have something to discuss and on file what forecasts and thoughts are this far out. CFS was right last summer that the 2015-16 winter would be warmer than normal across the board.

^^

Last winter was easy to predict even for the CFS, with a Super Nino. This winter may be more tricky depending on the strength of La Nina.

What are we thinking for the SW this summer, particularly Southern California? June has seen 2 heat waves already and a third on the way. The first one last year wasn't until the last 2 days of June if I recall. Plus we hit a temp higher than all last year, on June 20.
