Down to 65F here at 8 PM.

NWS is forecasting 53F tonight. High today was 76F. Looks like we might not get any rain over the next week.

Btw... some crazy stuff going on with the fires in Canada. Get ready to see smomy skies in the U.S and even on the Satellite loops tomorrow.

Evacuation under way.

Haha thanks, I hope you can stay in the 40s and 50s for lows during summer. Hell, I hope you get some record breaking 30s in early June or late August.

BTW - Those temps in Northern Alberta are impressive. They can get some impressive warm temps at that latitude, as a matter of fact I believe the record high in both Watson Lake, Yukon and Mayo, Yukon occurred in May 1983.

Apparently the entire city of Fort McMurray is under evacuation.

Quote:
CALGARY, Alberta (Reuters) - Alberta is racing to evacuate thousands of people as an uncontrolled wildfire burns near Fort McMurray, in the heart of Canada's oil sands region, forcing residents to flee north to safety on Tuesday.

Alberta appealed for help from other provinces and Ottawa to help fight the fire and airlift people from the city. Local authorities issued a mandatory evacuation order for all of Fort McMurray, which affects the city's 80,000 residents.

Fort McMurray fire: 'It's apocalyptic. No way out but north' | National Observer

The highway doesn't go much further north, it ends after a few miles, they're essentially trapped. That's one thing I hate about Long Island, there's only one way out, through NYC. If there was ever a mass evacuation it'd be worse than Houston during Rita.

Only a 3 degree spread today, high of 51F and a low of 48F. Light rain early in the morning followed by nonstop drizzle/mist, which is still occurring btw. Disgusting day.

Doesn't look like any relief for Fort McMurray in the near future neither. Nothing but warmth and dryness in their forecast.

That's crazy. Our spread was from 41F to 48F. But it was a very disgusting day nonetheless, I would kill for some rain
