Storms moving southwest as opposed to northeast/east isn't something you see very often.

I remember that happening on several occasions in 2013.

Perhaps with the NE flow, the storms are going away from the stability of the ocean, to more favorable conditions?

I realized in NYC you have mad trees with branches retching all the way to the ground almost like vines, you don't see those much in Upstate NY

I could not live in those places that have a high probability of being hit by a tornado.

The OBS map or the Satellite and Radar animation. I assume the animation. I wish GREarth would go back 6hrs instead of just 4 but its nice to have it all on one map.

That's true. I always see PA with storms popping up...and ironically it happens before 2pm then they head our way by evening.

Nope, we don't.. Upper Level Lows don't happen often and there's one over the region today. But they do happen. Actually with any coastal storm we get a Northeast flow so might happen more than we think?

Current map with mid level winds (flow of moisture). See the center of the storm off the coast?

Did someone say "Western Philly Suburbs"? Storm strengthened. Looks like its bowing?
