Had moderate rain and thunder this morning as a storm complex was weakening as it came thru here.
Currently muggy at 83F with dewpoint of 73F. Still a good chance of more storms this afternoon... I think I see something starting to build to my south that may turn into something.
An impressive line from around Houston to the Louisiana/Texas border, but not sure if that's going to come here.

Now how do people judge a locations weather & climate when this happens and the main station is no where near?
It's pouring there under the 76 and 75 in NY, yet sunny and dry in NYC or even neighboring towns.
Hot and muggy with dew points in the 60s and sunshine on full blast. Why in Spring and Summer in NYC is usually predicting a thunderstorm and almost half the time it doesn't happen?
