2pm Temp Update. And There it is. The 1st 80° temp of the year in CT. A normal max for June 15 in Hartford. Above forecast max's. Didn't I say to watch out for this exact thing come Spring? The drier it stays the more we'll easily go over forecast with a ridge over us. Easily.

^^

Lots of sun allowing it to really warm up in the Northeast!

We have clouds, and a couple spotty showers right now traversing the northwest suburbs towards ORD. Nothing big.

Here's the Upper Pattern Flow. Ridge is now peaking and centered over us. Warm Southerly Winds are down sloping off the Appalachians too. Mid Level Temps are at 11C now over here. Very Warm for this time of year.

Trying to think what stands out more.

The Bermuda High.
The Mid Levels at +9°C in New England
Or the Rare Upper Low over Mexico at 22-25°N. I don't remember seeing one that far south. This is interesting to see. It's cold/cool under that Low down there and I believe breaking or near record cold there

From the stations available with this, here are the early afternoon temps there.

I hit 80° on the dot for literally 10 minutes. Looks like it's dropping now as the sun drops down further.

Gotta be one of the earliest dates hitting 80. Crazy. June Weather in March. The graphs are going to look insane past 3 weeks

Syracuse hit 77F (25C) today and it was at -23F (-30C) on Feb 14th. That's a 100-degree (F) range in less than 4 weeks. WTF

Not too sure what is so fascinating about that. Someplaces in U.S have seen 100F change in 24 HOURS.

Yeah that kind of stuff might happen in the Intermountain West a couple of times per century in some obscure frost hollows at 1500m after a chinook passes by.

But it's still kind of interesting to see the 100F range in a city near a lake at sea level in the Eastern part of the continent.

Its crazy. Hartford 91 degree range in 3 weeks. -12F on 2/15 to 81°F today. It doesnt happen often so this is interesting. Its the earliest they hit 80+ too.

Chicopee, MA hit 80 today. They hit -17° on 2/15. 97 degree range in 23 days.

We don't usually get a strong Polar blast then June weather within 1 month time
