It's not unusual.... It's RARE.. As I showed in the graph, it's never reached 74+ this early
Oh. I saw the one that was since 1999. Hartford only going above 70 once in 111 years is amazing, especially since it's away from the coast. Here's Lexington...38 years exceeded 70F.

Don't forget, my batteries were never fully charged from winter so my tolerance level is VERY low this year.
I didn't acclimate to cold as much as in the past. This time last year we hadn't hit 70º since October, so it was kind of a shock at first. Yesterday on the other hand felt surprisingly normal.
Since March is a transition month the end of March will have much higher extremes then beginning. Im curious what area gets 70s March 1-10. Keep me far away from there. I hope this doesnt happen again.
I just ran inside like a little girl. God damn mosquitoes biting me. Unreal. Disgusting. Miserable. worse that its not even mid March
Lol. Better get used to it. Whenever that Bermuda high surfaces, it's game over for you. It's almost like the south is reaching it's hand up and grabbing New England with it, lol.

Wow, you definitely see 70s more than we do up this way. So now you know how weird it felt. Its like you hitting 80s 2 days in a row.

Luckily it wont last. Still tooo early for it to sit.
Probably will end up just normal for us. What else is new. But think outside that still image. Its a pattern change vs what we have now. Below normal heights aloft with a flow from Cananda...and of course it shifts east but how cold still to be determined .
First 80 degree day today tomorrow should be second . First 80 degree day here is right on time, no where near earliest at all. Got bitten by some darn mosquito's too. Unfortunately our streak of 70s and up ends briefly on Saturday with a high of 68 before roasting with more possible 80 degree days next week. Maple tree beginning to show leaves as are some cherries that are past the blooming stage. Hope we don't get a serious freeze in the 20s later in the month though that could kill lots of tender plants that would be blooming around that time.

Trough in East much better than a damn ridge!
Yeah besides IDC about below average by a bit anymore our average high is in the mid 60s so a few off its low 60s. So either way the weather will still be nice and mild. Although there could be snow threats for new england if it cools enough. Would be interesting to see upstate new York go from 70s and some places 80, to a few inches of snow in a couple weeks.
Below normal for New England Starts Sunday next weekend.. we'll see.
