Wikipedia shows average low of 1.8C for Ningbo in January.
Yes, I was looking at the Means. The minimums are colder which further proves the point that Ningbo is substantially cooler than Houston during the winter irregardless of the extreme record lows. Speaking of records, Houston has a record max of 33C in February

I was looking,Even Hanoi(21N),Below Tropic of Cancer is Cooler than Houston .
Amazing to see how the Siberian High affects Eastern Asia.
Are you kidding me? Look at the averages in the winter not just the rare record temps. It's not even close.
Dec:
Houston: 18/7C
Ningbo: 12/7C
Jan
Houston: 17/6C
Ningbo: 9/5C
Feb
Houston:19/8C
Ningbo: 10/3C
i never said Houston didn't have higher averages. but averages aren't everything. both places have the same exact hardiness zone on the border of 9a/9b. and it is hard to ignore the record low of Ningbo, 11.7°F higher than Houston!
so once again I ask, is Ningbo colder than Houston? Plants wouldn't think so... for instance, chinese fan palms may survive better in Ningbo than they would in Houston. (long term generational that is) specifically because of the colder temperatures Houston experiences that Ningbo would never see.
How many alts are you going to make Yn0hTnA? Or should I say, Anthony? Just give it up and go away. Stop making alts, they'll all just get banned.

Don't worry. There is already a change in the pattern coming after New Years. Your paradises of coastal SC/GA will be seeing their hard freezes eventually.
I lived near both of these cities in my life. I would give a slight edge to Houston for warmer winters....the summer in Ningbo is incredibly muggy and the ac in China isn't as good.
