I'm a four seasons lover but I can live in a place with warm winters. I couldn't live with cool summers.

Lol, I don't think the OP was talking about such an extreme case. All seasons are still important to me.

I look at all seasons and see how they all progress. If I HAD to choose just one to look at (couldn't view the other), I might have to base it off of winter. I'd likely choose a mild/cool not quite warm winter location. If unknown summer turns out to be really hot (too hot), the mild winters will still be welcome as a nice reprieve. Only bad scenario is that summer isn't hot enough. But, if the winter is warm enough then summer has to be decent. Basically I just have to avoid a summer where the highs are in the low 60s.

Now, if I instead chose to look at just summer, I might really hate the winters and get stuck with 100 inches of snow or unrelenting sub freezing temperatures, etc. Or I could even end up with a winter like in Bangkok where the average high is still around 90. I need a cool season.

Summer is the most important factor for me, it's my favorite season, and my ideal temperature range is fairly specific, average highs between 88F and 93F and average lows between 70F and 74F in the warmest month(s).

Winters are also important to me, but I find myself more willing to compromise on winter conditions than I am with summer conditions. My ideal winter would feature average highs between 55F and 65F and average lows in the 40F and 50F range in the coolest month(s), but as long as I'm comfortable I'm happy.

Winters must absolutely have an average high above 55F, preferably in the 65F-70F range. At least 50 percent sunshine, preferably 70 percent or higher.

Oceanic climates are a no go because they never meet my criteria for either season.
You mean continental climates, don't you?

The one that needs to meet your standards is the one you care about the most. Do you prefer summer or winter?

I really care about snow in the winter. But I also care about dry and sunny summers. I'd have to say winter is more important though.

You don't regard Vancouver as a cool summer climate?
