I saw that, it seems June rain is becoming more common. We saw a couple sprinkles last June as well. And it is normally the one month that averages 0.00" here

Summary: Much colder then yesterday!! Had an early max of 61 before dropping down to 55 around lunchtime with light rain about, no thunder despite being mentioned..afternoon became very breezy which made it feel even colder!

June 9, 2016 Wind Chills and Upper Flow.


The Polar Vortex (lol)... The Upper Low is north of Nova Scotia now creating a Northwest flow aloft





Zoomed out 850mb temps and Upper heights. I see 4 things.


Storms this morning right side of Ridge in Minnesota & Illinois
Sleet on Mt Washington
Upper Low in Pac NW with chilly air into Seattle as trough digs down there.
Below freezing at 4000' at least in NY, VT, NH as it bled down from the Arctic in the Northwest flow
