Some rare June rain yesterday, but it's moved east.

As of 7AM PDT, Clear and 80, DP 44, Humidity 30%, Heat Index 79.

Forecast calls for first below normal high of the month (Norm 103, Forecast 102)

Very Windy today! Had to see the setup.. Temps and dew points about to start dropping in the afternoon. Actually DPs did down in the 40s again.

Upper Low in Quebec and a storm near Maine. 995mb Low. + the moving cold front + base of the trough & Jet Stream = set up for winds.

Quote:
Upper closed low pressure across eastern Canada rotates into
northern New England today with a shearing vort max moving into
the region this afternoon. Given dry sounding much above 850 hPa,
even with this forcing, it should remain dry, however, could see
some instability clouds across higher elevations where convective
temperatures should be reached

Zoomed out. Ridge peaking north into Central Canada but clouds preventing a big warmup. Hot under the ridge and sloping down. Upper Low in New England with a continued Northwest flow for the Northeast.

Surface Map. High pressure in Southeast. Low Pressure in Quebec. Cold front right over me.

Bridgeport now back into the 40s

Notice something? Look at the Observation graph.

Sout and East winds = higher dewpoints.
North and West winds = Lower dewpoints.

(Obviously)

Temps in 80s with dews in 40s??? A RARE JUNE DRY HEAT !!

A RARE SIGHT FOR MID JUNE.

NYC dewpoints are in the 30s with temps in the 80s. DRY HEAT with 30mph+ winds!

This is incredible! My fantasy Summer coming to me. If its gonna be warm and hot, at least be desert like dry!

DP is 51F now, it was in the upper 60's when I left. I felt the drop since I was outside the entire time, very odd sensation lol. Skies went from partly cloud to a clear deep blue. Temperature is still in the mid 80's.
