88 with a dew point of 75. Heat index 98. Today was supposed to break 95, it wont. This is bs. We got our first 90 degree day late, now our first 95 degree day is running later than normal. Temps slowly creeping up though.plus I'm using the nws for current conditions and last it updated was 12:51, probably over 90 now.
Feels like I brought Florida weather home with me.

A stationary front will remain just south of the area this
afternoon, and then sink southward as a weak cold front tonight.
High pressure will then build in through Friday, remain over the
region through the weekend, and pass east early next week. A
cold front will impact the region during the middle of next week.
Current temps and Upper Level Pattern. Vortex is leaving Hudson Bay and that allows more heat to filter north in the U.S for the weekend.
But right now I was wondering why with a West wind aloft in this region, it wasn't at least widespread 80s in the Northeast... Looks like the Ridge is squashed in the Plains. Had that been peaking to Canada all that heat would be coming down stream to the Northeast.
The heat is pretty suppressed for this time of year....for now. Imagine being in the 30s in the afternoon of June?
GFS says 500mb Heights wont be higher than 584dm all the way till July 9th here.. Lolol except for Sunday and Monday coming. Obviously subject to change after 7 days
No heat waves in sight.
