You probably are. Friends from here that go there in summer say you need a jacket often at night with the low dewpoints and cool water right there. Not to mention that cloudiness that can persist all day long in summer due to that cold water. That rarely happens here in summer as our offshore water is far warmer.
Current 3 day SST map.
Water temp is in the low to mid 70s off of Southern California right now. El Nino may be gone but the warm water survived its demise:
So? Phoenix and Upstate NY aren't exactly the same climate. What's the point of this post?
While I always give credit to you guys living through this type of weather, I will never understand it. The complaints is not just from a region standpoint of view but a preference and health one.
Maybe it's no surprise the fattest states are in the south? Barely able to move with this weather. Although Florida surprises me, must be all that swimming you need to break from the heat/humidity.
Can't believe it but my forecast looks hotter next week than this week
Multiple days near 100.
Yup, Next week is no joke. I've said this maybe 4 times now.

I couldn't find a map off the map but the Jet stream would be able to dive south easier in winter but this is pretty much what it would be like. Just colder and snowier but still with Pacific influences where the low elevations wouldn't be that far from normal.

I think it has more to do with poverty than weather
My point is it seems like he's complaining about nothing
Where I live, this kind of weather is very unusual and I'm not used to it so I have a valid complaint. If I lived in Phoenix I might get used to it and not think its a big deal but i don't. It's like you complaining about snow which for me is a very common event. But for you is not so it would make since for you to complain.

I was from Rochester, and even when living there didn't think the heat waves were anything to complain about
