I'd assume Leeds or York would have to be a few degrees cooler than London, at least below 15°C, maybe 14°C?

That minimum is quite impressive!

Chicago/MDW in July 2012 was similar 92.1F/72.5.

The Northerly Island station on the lake recorded a 75F minimum that July

I was wrong, both airports topped out at 90F today.

And even though this summer hasn't been hot, it's been consistently above average with near average occurrences of "hot" days, and much better than the last two or three summers...

Average high in Leeds/York in July 2006 was 26C. In London it was 28C. That's a 2C difference. Might have been a larger gap between average lows.

This is the most hellish month on record here, even the dew point had an average of 76 F!

81F average low is crazy. Though there appear to be some malfunctions in that data, and it shows up as missing on Nowdata.

What's the "least" hellish summer month?

Hmmm...perhaps you're right. MIA averaged 92/78 that month, I don't think there'd be that much of a difference between MIA and FLL.

Best summer month ever here was June 1966. The coolest summer day ever was 79/63 in 1984, the following day had a low of 60F

For some reason, NowData has conflicting numbers

The dewpoint at 10:47 PM is an obvious error:
