80f with a dewpoint of 66. Strong (15 mph) south wind, almost hides the humidity

Just let up so I checked..

0.37" of rain fell within 20 minutes.

Still raining lightly now. We're going to be getting a lot of these moments I think next 6 days! Lets see if I can get an inch within 24hrs.

Ewww those lows are horrible. In comparison, in Paysandu (Uruguay), the average lows in the summer are in the mid to low 60s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paysand%C3%BA#Climate

Gonna be a long few days.. Thought it was strong winds, instead its another downpour. They are loud. This one was much quicker (only couple minutes)

PWAT Values.. Where it rains and PWATs are over 2.0 expect these torrential rains

Northeast view

I'm under 2.3! No wonder!

I do too. I don't consider daily summer thunderstorms to be "stuck" because you have both the rain, and the sun.

If only this summer we could get decent lightning and thunder instead of just terrific short downpours. I want the shock and awe, not just the torrential rain lol.

Thunder happens all the time; the noise of the downpour drowns it out.
