I think frequency and moreso brightness or strength? I think We were talking about Thunderstorm in general but I agree there is extra fuel with 70+. Like High Octane. Also thunder sounds different but I might be stretching it. Seems deeper and throatier

Was...but I was right, it weakened over Long Island and strengthened north of me. Danbury north of me has a warning now. Its fading out here. Just drizzling.

I was witnessing the transfer of power from NYC suburb to north of me.

GEPS really drops the hammer in both the 6-10 day and the 11-15 day.

Heat index might reach 110 F/43 C this weekend.

I think you're right. Storms often weaken over where I live and restrengthen on the other side of town. It's no coincidence I've seen a lot of CG in that area.

On the bright side here is one forecast that will not fail guranteed, things will gradually cool down as we approach September and gradually accelerate there descent into winter. Averages are falling, albeit slowly over the next 2 weeks but picking up the pace. We are down to 89 in Raleigh.

Soon we will be discussing the first freezes in new England and you will be raking leaves on a crisp, sunny, low humidity day in November with comfy Temps in the 40s with freezing lows. Before you know it you will crank up your wooden stove to warm up the house as you anxiously watch the latest model runs for the first shot at snow.
