It can be humid heat, owing to the Persian Gulf. I looked through some of the weather stats, & the DPs there seem to vary - I guess depending on whether the air flow is coming from the dry Arabian desert or the Persian Gulf. Actually, "vary" may be a bit of an understatement; DPs seem to be all over the place. For example, I see 31F and 71F in the same day!

But I thought they decided it will be played in November & December instead. Necessary move, it seems.

Yep, very true. Does depend on the air flow. But when it comes off the Gulf, they can get some extreme conditions, think 100 F with an 85 F dew point or so. Sometimes even a 90 F dew point combined with triple digit heat.

I think I heard about it being moved to November/December as well which is a smart move. Playing in the normal June/July would be honestly life threatening to these players.

Another hot day today with a high of 88 F/31 C. Dewpoints were in the upper 60s most of the day and it actually didn't feel too bad compared to the upper 70s we had this weekend.

A couple of gems in the upcoming forecast: Low of 60 F/16 C for Wednesday night and a high of only 77 F/25 C Monday. I would say this summer is the worst since 2013. Some notably decent days, but overall pretty hot. Really looking forward to cooler weather.

Yes, a headache for me is a rare thing. When I do get one it's brief and light. I know you have migraines so it sounds amazing, my mom gets migraines and she is left in bed when she gets them. Really sucks. Can't imagine the pain you go through with them. Good luck to you.

Nice. I'm getting to that point in summer where I'm getting pretty tired of heat. Some nights in the 50s and 60s sounds heavenly right now.

Heard a few rumbles of distant thunder. The storm is moving away, of course.

80F with a dewpoint of 70F at 9 PM. Lots of insect sounds. Beautiful late summer night.

Interesting. It's nothing compared to cluster headache. I can easily live with the occasional migraine after learning about that.

I get headaches when I spend too much time in the heat or I don't eat enough usually. About a month ago, I got a huge migraine because all I had for breakfast was a small smoothie, and then worked out for about three hours (obviously not enough food or energy in my body for that amount of exercise). I honestly thought I would pass out. Never again, since then I've always made sure to eat adequately before a workout or have a good breakfast.

Had more storms today. The heaviest round came about 5:30 PM which brought a good bit of lightning. Still some light rain right now. The digital gauge shows 1.60 inches for today, but the CoCoRaHS gauge probably has more.

Here's a pic before the storm started.

The grass is quite green right now.
