E. Too cloudy, and too cool. Still better than here, but London on average is way too cool and cloudy in summer anyway. If like me, you like warm summer weather. You won't find it in old London.
I'm just not a fan of these climates.

I had to give it an F, for the lack of sufficient sunshine, in addition to being too cool overall. December was mild, much like it was in NYC, but far gloomier than here.

Way too cloudy, but the December highs were stunning.

D for dull as all oceanic climates are. The one good thing is that December much warmer than normal for London but still very low sunshine hours and cold enough for that 'lack of sun' to give a gloomy, drab feeling.

The average lows were even more stunning. 5C warmer than the record highest June in my climate.

Mad dogs and Englishmen (women too). It is surely the weather. You owe it to yourselves to just once see the Southwest in the US. When it's clear you can see for 60-80 miles or more, and the clouds look like they're painted onto the skies. We now live in Florida due to an aversion to winter cold, but those New Mexico skies are etched into my brain.

This has nothing to do with this thread.

But we don't know the total sunshine hours for NYC in December. Based on what I saw here, it was cloudy dad after day with rain or showers. I'll bet NYC sunshine hours were very low. But since NOAA gave up on that, we can't compare unless we convert the solar radiation data. I may do that and see what NYC got.

I thought the cloudiness was mainly the last week or so, maybe week and a half? Blue Hill Observatory near Boston records sunshine with a C-S recorder but it takes them a month after the end of the month to post sunshine.
