No snow for me! Glad I moved away from Chicago! Freezing winters and blazing hot summers...not my cup of tea.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't like snow to last for more than a day at a time. It's a nuisance having to deal with that. A couple days each winter is fine, but I would like it to later warm up enough to melt it.

It absolutely is. Snowpack in my ideal climate should not last more than 4 weeks. In Saskatoon, it can last anywhere from 12 weeks to 24 weeks.

People depress it with their feet.

Things I like about snow on the ground:

1. You can see who's been walking on it. What kind of boots or paws they have. And what direction they went.
2. When it becomes a mess, fresh snow falling on it can clean it up.
3. In the meadow you can build a snowman, then pretend that he is parson Brown.
4. The moonlight often makes it look very nice, and rabbits like to play in it then.
5. Nobody can see your crabgrass and poorly maintained lawn.

It beats rain, mud and floods like we had throughout December. A crisp, fresh snowfall would be much appreciated, and it can last until March for all I care. Dirty snow is unappealing, but I still prefer it to rain, and if it snows frequently enough to cover up dirty snow but not so heavy that it becomes ridiculously deep, then it isn't a problem.

Hell yes. Thankfully we usually don't have a true snowpack, but any snow that lasts for more than a day or two is annoying.

1000% No.

52 weeks in a year.

People complain about 2 days or 2 weeks worth??! Crazy.

Give me 8+ weeks with a snowpack & I'm good. No point in rain...no point in a bare landscape.. Lets put snow on it.

Speaking of which.. it is depressing without a snowpack. I want to do some snow hiking!

It depends. A continual snowpack for the winter is definitely depressing. A two snowpack is not bad.

I wouldn't mind one for two or three days. Any more and I reckon my eyes would hurt from all the blinding whiteness. Also idk how to drive in the stuff.
