Well okay I guess having one just to see how less attractive it is against all the other nicer palms you can grow would make sense.

There are Triangle palms and Golden Cane palms growing here in my neighbourhood in Renmark, SA. There are also Pygmy Date Palms, King Palms and Bangalow Palms. There is also a Foxtail Palm in one of the front yards here. There are even a few small Triangle Palms seemingly growing in random places.

Canary Island Dates, Queen Palms, California and Mexican Fan Palms are ubiquitous, and I've seen them growing in clusters. There are a couple truly massive Queen Palms near my place which are probably 15m tall with leaves probably atleast 5m long.

was looking through street view and stumbled upon this palm tree in Omsk, Russia (Yes I know it's fake, just thought it was humorous)

Had a chance to observe palms here in Shepparton, which is about two hours north of Melbourne. I have yet to see a palm species here I haven't at home, with the exception of Phoenix roebellini - I know of only one at home, although it is fully grown.

Queen palms grow well here, very robust and dropping a lot of fruit. No mature CIDPs oddly enough, with none having trunks over about 30ft

Excellent pics! Nice healthy coconuts in Brisbane. Noosa has a fantastic climate.

There are Triangle Palms growing in people's front yards near my place, as well as Golden Cane Palms and Alexandra/King Palms. There is one pretty healthy looking Foxtail Palm in one front garden of a riverfront house. The same property also has a couple monster-sized Queen palms. Queen palms here bear bright red/orange fruit and lots of 'em aswell. Apparently there is a Date farm nearby aswell.

The Mildura area has some isolated groves of fan palms and Canary Island palms. Some of these can be seen on Streetview.

Noosa was beautiful and so was all of Queensland.. the stereotypes are true though lol, people were walking around supermarkets in bare feet! But who cares when you live in a place with an epic climate and fantastic scenery...

I remember we hired a white car there and every time we returned it was covered in flies!

Australia really is awesome, up near Mission Beach there were beaches lined with palms, shame about the stingers
