Really starting to look like autumn now, with the skies getting that crystal clear blue look and grass greening up. Native tree species really started growing again and deciduous trees are showing some good colour already, with some strong red and gold despite the warmer temperatures -the few chilly nights must have had an effect.

Nice! Over here we call that a "bleed down" but looks like a bleed up there. lol Impressive how far north its going. South America climate and weather is interesting.

Do you guys have any seasonal forecasts for anywhere in the Southern Hem for upcoming winter or even Fall? Links? Stories? Will the weakening Nino affect your fall/winter?

Cold air mass reach well into Central South America, sometimes even in Amazon.

and Even with a Weak El nino,it still will affect the Autumn here in SA,Some Climate Blogs from here say that it will be warmer in Early/Mid Autumn then Normal in late Autumn/early Winter.

I hope this winter to at least have some cold Shots, the last was practically non-existent.

Yep, as much as I enjoy spring and summer, I still enjoy autumn and winter. The change in light as well shortening days is quite a special feeling. Looking forward to fires, frosty mornings and snowcapped hills.

Here is NIWA's seasonal forecast for Autumn. Looks like staying above average through autumn and returning to a neutral conditions by winter.

Very pleasant sunny day today, although cold in the morning. It was nice to have a breezy, sunny afternoon. Good to have a bit of autumn in the air. Shorts and shirt doing the paper delivery for an hour and a half. Last day of the mini-holiday before a period 0 tomorrow. No wind to speak of in the morning but a seabreeze came in around 1:30pm.

A decent temperature range yesterday, with a 2C start warming to 25C.

Was surprised it was so chilly, as the pervious evening was so warm -must have ben a bit of a southerly flick.

Looks like a good amount of rain possible for the weekend.

The coming week of April seems rather warm (26C-30C), though nights are cool for a change (14C-16C).

Horrible autumn days we are having. 3rd day in a row now with temps around 30c . The beggining of march was colder than the end of it, it should be the other way around. Of course weather doesnt follow logic down here.

Anyways, waiting for this hot trend to end, but it wont anytime soon apparently
