There are nearly 800,000 Poles living in the UK, and more arrive every year. That's going to have negative consequences for Poland - that's a big chunk of its population living abroad and paying tax elsewhere.
It only undercuts wages when employers pay less than minimum wage, which is illegal anyway. And I'm not really bothered about homogeneity as you are. I've spent most of my life surrounded by immigrants and their presence simply doesn't bother me.
But minimum wage is usually less than a living wage, much less a decent wage. Massive immigration drives down wages, but not below the minimum wage. The fact that many employers get away with paying less than the minimum wage more generally means a low wage market for many occupations.
It is crude, but crudely effective. Shame is the biggest human motivator. It challenges some folks, at least, to formulate a reason that they aren't "cucks" in the sense that the word conveys.
Any evidence that it encourages that rather what an idiot? It doesn't any sense to me why it would create shame rather than anger and dismissal.

The UK has introduced a living wage now, it's a big jump from the previous minimum wage. Wages in the UK aren't being driven down either, and they're generally highest in areas like London where lots of immigrants live. I'd have to look up the stats but I don't think anywhere in the UK is seeing wages forced down due to mass immigration.
