Do you prefer the climate in Cali, Colombia or Miami, Florida?

Cali:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cali#Climate

Due to its proximity to the equator there are no major seasonal variations in Cali; however, the elevation and nearby mountains bring breezes which give the city pretty comfortable evenings year-round. The average "lows" throughout the year area about 60 degrees F to 63 F, or 15.5 degrees C to 17.0 C.

Annual Rainfall: 35 inches
Annual Sunshine Hours: 1,941

Miami:

Miami gets "cooler" winters, more sunshine and lots more rain.

Annual Rainfall: 61.9 inches
Annual Sunshine Hours: 3,154

Miami for more seasonal variety and much cooler "winters" and record lows.

And those records for Cali are obviously wrong. Many months have only a single degree difference between the record and the average, a couple months have an identical record and average, and apparently December's record high is lower than its average high

They get cold snaps too, just not as severe. Coldest recorded in Cali was 4C/39F. Coldest recorded in Miami was -3C/27F. Coldest recorded for Miami Beach was 0C/32F.

So yeah, the cold snaps are not as bad, but obviously 4C is a cold snap.

It's all relative I guess. The biggest thing is Miami has recorded a freeze and Cali hasn't.

Yeah but at 39 F, you can get frost under certain atmospheric conditions and sensitive plants like lipstick palms will be killed off. To me anything under 55F/13C in a tropical climate qualifies as some kind of cold snap as this temperature is essentially traumatic for some of the more sensitive plants.

That 39 F record low doesn't seem very accurate to me.

Anyways, I choose Miami for having more of a variety of weather.
