Don't think there is a poll for Liawenee - one of the coldest inhabited place in Australia. It's got like 300 people living there.

Love the winter temps with guaranteed snow cover.
Summer's almost non-existent but can still get the clear sunny days with the occasional 30C temps.

C- for me. Not a great climate, but it's good to have climates with snow nearby.

Based on being a similar latitude to my area. I would estimate that it's 1100 metre altitude would see about 30-40 days with snow on the ground in an average year.

Is Liawenee really subpolar though?

Despite their summers, Stockholm and Oslo have a cooler annual high/low and yet they aren't deemed "subpolar" climates.

Places around 41 degrees of latitude are special places -certainly not holes.

Close. Summers need to be 10C or less for an average temperature.

With average winter highs around 6C? I don't know the area at all but if the record lowest maximum is only -2.0C it doesn't look like it can get prolonged proper cold. The highs and the precipitation year-round are actually very similar to Bingley and we probably get about 15-20 days with snow on the ground in an average year - for this place I might up it to 20-25 because of the colder nights.

I grade this an E, not much to like about it.
