They're still around. It's just that one user called Subtropical-Man thinks they're unnecessary.

Tbh, I am not into it.

They're making the cities look warmer than they are. I mean, for those who have little knowledge in weather max/mins, NYC will look like it has hot summers and nice, mild winters.

The feature is now gone though, at least for NYC and Boston. Hm...

They're removed from some individual cities, but the feature still exists.

and the pointless mean temperature isn't clutter???

they should get rid of the daily mean, that would open up more room for...you know...something thats actually useful like the average max and min.

Daily mean is useful when comparing two cities to see which city is warmer/cooler in a specific month. Average absolute max and min are pretty much meaningless to a non-weather enthusiast. Most people reading Wikipedia articles don't care about whether or not you can grow lipstick palms in a city.

Well you can't grow them cause you live in a frozen wasteland. That is why you don't care.

sure daily mean is useful on its own but when you already have highs/lows provided its completely redundant

at least average max/min is new information that you can't ascertain (or assume as accurately) from other data already given.

record highs/lows are an indicator of this but you can still be several degrees off from the true values by calculating averages based on the data given. on the other hand daily mean is literally the average of the highs/lows. totally unnecessary.

all i'm saying is, if clutter is what you people are worried about, daily mean should not be there either. and average max/min are more useful pieces of information that actually bring something to the table.
