Midale and Yellowgrass, SK may have hit 45 C at one time, but Saskatchewan summers on average are very cool by world standards. One can go several years without hitting 35 C, and decades without hitting 40 C. July/August frosts are more common than 40+ temperatures.
besides record lows, the winters are not that bad and even then not that long. the biggest minus is the very hot summers and low precipitation. Because of that I gave it a C. decrease the summer highs by about 10F and give it an extra 10 in of precipitation and I'd probably give it a B+
Seasonal swings a bit too much for me. Winters are cold enough but seem too dry for my liking. Summers way too hot, as are the summer lows, but at least it isn't humid.

Summers are nice but can get too hot, and winters are too cold.
