According to Weatherspark, it's usually from the east year-round, but relatively likely to be from the south during the rainy/warm season.

Not true in China (average summer high temperatures in China proper peak far to the south of that line, around southwest Zhejiang, northwest Fujian, and southern Jiangxi). Or in the Middle East, for that matter.
