Many people claim that the best climates in the PNW are located in Southwestern Oregon, so which climate in this region do you like most? I define the Southwest as the following counties

Douglas, Coos, Curry, Josephine, and Jackson.

I have selected some climates, but if you have better suggestions feel free to share.

1. Roseburg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roseburg,_Oregon#Climate

2. Grants Pass https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grants...Oregon#Climate

3. Medford https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medford,_Oregon#Climate

4. Ashland https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashland,_Oregon#Climate

5. Cave Junction https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_J...Oregon#Climate

6. Brookings https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brookings,_Oregon#Climate

7. Coquille https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coquil...hy_and_climate

8. Coos Bay https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coos_Bay,_Oregon#Climate

9. Powers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers,_Oregon#Climate

10. Prospect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prospect,_Oregon#Climate

Roseburg. It looks like my fictional Portland/Sacramento hybrid.

They all are milder than the eastern US in winter. Which one is the best at growing hardy palm trees?

Powers looks pretty good, except for those record lows. Not too dissimilar to here. Any idea what the sunshine hours are?

My vote goes with Medford because is not so different with the climate to some areas to the highlands of central Spain, though Medford' rainfall patter is not exactly the same as here.

I couldn't find any information of sunshine hours for Powers, however Medford has 196 sunny and partially sunny days.

Looks like Powers is a zone 9a climate according to the winter lowest temp since 1933. Avg lowest temp each winter is 20F. That is not too shabby. Warmer than Toulouse France in winter too.
