I've often wondered this. Obviously any major city could have a natural disaster, but I wonder if someone wanted to avoid them all together what city should they chose? Natural disasters would include, Hurricanes, Tornado's, Floods, Blizzards, Ice Storms, Earthquakes Dust Storms etc. I think I have a short list of cities that should be considered in no particular order
1. Albuquerque NM
2. Atlanta GA
3. Nashville TN
4. Charlotte NC
5. Cincinnati OH
5. Austin/San Antonio TX
7. Boise ID.
Eliminate Nashville from your list because of the New Madrid fault line. Boise is vulnerable to volcanoes. Atlanta and Charlotte both vulnerable to ice storms and floodings from hurricane aftermaths / remnants. Cincinnati is right on the Ohio river so there is potential for flooding there. I guess the only one standing on your list is ALB.
Are you talking about Yellowstone? Because the risk from that on a year-to-year basis is extremely low; it hasn't erupted for over half a million years.
I think Denver, Chicago, Buffalo, Cleveland, Seattle are pretty safe.. They might have occasional floods/snow storms, but they also have pretty good plans how to deal with it...

While ABQ usually wins this discussion. Nashville doesn't have an abnormally high earthquake risk. Not as much so as Memphis at least. What is this volcano risk for Boise you speak of? If it's Yellow Stone....Well if that thing blows we're all dead. Atlanta and Charlotte can get ice storms, but generally they aren't that severe.

Seattle has a pretty serious earthquake threat, and the rest of those cities are pretty prone to blizzards. While blizzards are by mo means the worst natural disaster, it was under OP's criteria.
