Currently here in Aurora, ME, 62F, Dew Point 39F, Wind WNW, 9MPH, Whispy Clouds across a setting sun...
Rushed home from work to see one of our resident Fledgling Cardinals perched at our bird feeders...Grackles have been gobbling today --- they learned from the Blue Jays that if they flutter their wings (while on the perch), they too can cause the Squirrel-Proof (Hahaha), Bird Feeder to release more food...Don't begrudge the Blue Jays...they were once fledglings here in our Meadows...Grackles invaded with the Red-Winged Blackbirds in June on a migration and they are obnoxious and we can hardly wait to see them go!
In the meantime...so enjoy reading everyone's posts!
Maxed out at 78 F/26 C today. Currently a balmy 63 F/17 C at 8:15PM. Forecast low of only 60 F/16 C...more typical of summer than October.
Warm weather this time of the year is weird. Smells like autumn with the leaves everywhere, the sun is weaker, and there's still a slight coolness in the air (probably because of the weaker sun). 78 F/26 C a month ago would probably still feel quite hot in the sun while now it's not too bad.
Back to cool crisp weather this weekend with highs in the 50s.
That doesn't seem likely. Even Stuart is only forecast to drop to 67 F.
That's why I said potentially lol....they always undersell cool shots at first and the forecast lows gradually go lower and lower as the week goes on.
Actually, I just checked an the lowest is predicted at 69 F. This morning the lowest predicted was 65 F for Saturday night (which is why I said that to begin with). Well....there goes any small amount of excitement that I had.
I already see the winds shift to from NW to NE on Friday. Well, this seems very oddly familiar.....
Remember this? October 18 last year... instability snow showers around
