I thought at 26N sunsets don't vary much. Like 6 pm early winter to about 7:30 pm early summer at most.
Where I live, at 43N , it ranges from about 5 pm early winter to about 9 pm early summer.
I lived in Montreal at 45N and because of being more east on same time zone,
the sun sets actually earlier than Toronto, even though slightly farther north.
I'm surprised, after 8 sunsets way down south in Broward County / Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Indeed it does, around summer solstice our sunsets are around 8:20 PM or so (visibly blue sky on the west horizon after 9) and around winter solstice it's about 5:30 PM or so. Of course, the difference is enhanced by daylight savings, but to give you an idea our day length varies from about 10.5 hours during winter solstice to about 13.5 hours during summer solstice.

Yeah, it's really not totally noticeable until this time of year. What sucks is daylight is noticeably shorter, but temperatures aren't any cooler.

It can depend on how far east/west you are in the time zone. Definitely noticing the shorter days here in Phoenix, todays times were 6:04 sunrise and 6:48 sunset, so we have lost 1 hr and 39 mins of daylength since June 21st (times were 5:18 and 7:41 that day)
Wow. A 63 F low this morning! This is probably a typical summer time low up north, but down here in south GA, temps this low pretty much confirm that autumn has begun.
The last 3 afternoons also stayed below 90 F, although today we are forecast to hit 91 F.
See why the westward move? I HOPE THAT ATLANTIC BLOCKING STICKS AROUND FOR FALL AND WINTER!!!
