2 Maps...

Thursday.. Dare I say last day of 70s for us here till Spring? We've hit 70+ in November but only three times in last 20 yrs. So Thursday could be the last!

Most important feature on this map is the line with the blue triangles on it. Keep those Cold Fronts coming please.

After that cold front passes ...

And snow again for the Adirondacks? Gees. What a year for them so far. Mt Washington was 34% above normal themselves with snowfall last month

The fog this morning was quite dense. Per Wunderground, visibility got down to 0.2 miles.

Warm the next couple of days but cooler temps expected this weekend. NWS LCH is mentioning "potent weather" for the middle of next week.

So...what can we expect with this developing picture you might
be thinking.

First off...dense fog will burn off by mid morning today...then
southerly low level flow will become more established. Temperatures
for highs today will be comparable to Monday`s highs. No rain is
expected. Wednesday we should see moisture ramping up across the
western half of the area...therefore we have to throw in some
pops for the area of increased moisture. Otherwise...temperatures
in Wednesday morning will start off well above normal and reach
mid 80s.

As the northern segment of the upper level energy eject to the
Great Lakes region and deepens...this will drive a cold front
into the area later in the day Thursday with winds kicking up into
Friday. Above normal temperatures will abruptly come to and end
Friday and Saturday as temperatures cool into the low to mid
70s...and markedly chilly mornings both Saturday and Sunday. A
slow warming trend starts Sunday afternoon and continues into the
start of next week. I don`t see any severe weather through the 7
day forecast...but I do see some potent weather on the horizon by
the middle of next week. More on that in the days ahead.

Some interesting things could be happening next week. Pattern is relaxing now after last week or so. Enjoy my quietness. lol Storms pick up next week again...maybe. GFS shows a storm merging from Gulf and Ozarks then bombing out over Lake Michigan and digs the trough down to Louisiana for some Chilly nights/days

CFSv2 for second half of November still not picking up the cold that's been advertised. If anything just closer to normal.

Quite the diurnal range.

Had a low of 72 F (22.2 C) this morning and the high has been 83 F (28.3 C) it's been rather sunny but quite breezy all day. Dews have been in the low 60s.

I know my observations are boring. Can't help living in a boring climate.
