Nice warm day so far. Went for a morning run. Already up to 63 with sun at 11am. Seems like we're just ahead of the front.
Feeling an odd sense of deja vu with the weather here.
First 19 days of October--well above average, average high near 70

November 20--predicted high in the 30s with snow, forecast predicts change to cool and wet
Interesting and nice summary! Weather does have its patterns and sometimes we can see similarities from one month to the next.
Speaking of interesting.... Ummm, I feel like I'm gonna get sandwiched!
I see 4 things with this 4hr loop 7:30-11:30am.
Rain changing to snow in Western PA.
Atlantic Storm.
Sharp edged front.
Snowing behind it.
Check out the temps "in between". Watertown, NY 72° at 11:30am. 60s in Syracuse.
Short sleeves and sunny and warm outside here, but I see it and know whats coming.
What do the red reports on the map stand for?
Interesting abrupt change from the 61 in northern Vermont to the 38 in Canada just to the north of it. Guess the clouds are cooling the Canadian place down.
Here, it warmed up 17 degrees (from 42 to 59) between 8 am and 9 am!
Starting to cloud over now but they're still light and wispy clouds. Down to 57 though and winds at 15mph.
Freezing Fog. Albany and few other spots were having it.

Another big difference is the 41F at Cornwall,ON and
60F at what looks like around Lake Placid,NY.
How are your winds there? Should pick up later on even more?
12:40pm. I believe the 61 you were referring to is Frelighburg, Quebec...Now 64°F. I honestly have no idea why Montreal is in the 40s. Did cold air get stuck there?
Maybe downsloping warm air from the mountains is affecting other spots? It's +12C at 4500'
Yes, it was utter garbage around here. Sun angle is still far too strong to be able to heat temperatures up to this level at this time of year. My preferred latitude is in the 43N-50N range.
Then today is a big improvement! The wind is making it feel quite cold.
T-shirts and iced lattes in Upstate NY, wintercoats and hot chocolate in Tennessee
Wtf is going on?!??!
A cold front
