I don't expect much out of autumn here. Just please no November 2015 again please. Endless 85/75 days with high humidity and a **** ton of drizzle.
That first week was the worst. Places as far north as Douglas/Jesup, Georgia (31 degrees north latitude) saw temps in the 90s with heat indices above 100 F.
To be honest, a November-January with below average temps and a February-March with above average temps would be the best scenario. Good fall foliage in November followed by good blooming in March. Hot autumns and cooler springs (which is what we've been getting lately) means crap trees.

I remember that, with lows in the mid 70s as well. Unprecedented for that time of year. 90s that time of year is exceptional here, let alone up there.

Below average throughout it all is best but I'd much rather the first scenario than the last scenario. Warmer than average falls are the worst. Been hot for too damn long, at least in spring heat is somewhat of a novelty.
The problem with November 2014 was that the following December was mild and the following January was snowless, so winter seemed to be perpetually a few weeks away. The month itself was good, though.
2014-2015 was the 6th snowiest season here, with 40.0". Most of it was in February and March though.

For only half a year, but I want to make it permanent. Quality of life here is much better, like safety, stress, public transportation, health, walkability, nightlife, etc

Sounds good. Hope you figure something out.
