You can see the northerly winds getting into New England now because the front passed and is off shore. That front is stalled and should move back towards the coast tomorrow.

Of course Hurricane Joaquin down there spinning away too

Before meet Windty i used to think that only Northern Hemisphere have Jet stream,but i see that not right (:

Thanks for the other link!

As a sailor who has been out of the water too long, all this technology has me thinking of abandoning land life and going back to sea. It was challenging when all you had was a compass and sextant. This seems to open up new horizons. As I aged, technology may have lessened the challenges age created.
